RISIS Training 2017
Improving the capabilities of researchers in science and innovation studies to mobilise big data and quantitative analyses is a major challenge. Through our training programme, RISIS aims to prepare researchers to both the use of the datasets and platforms we offer, and to analyse such data.
RISIS supports 3 types of courses: one or two-day courses introducing researchers to a dataset or a platform; two-day courses for introducing specific methods or types of information; and one-week schools targeting more specifically young researchers focused on a thematic, methodological or policy issue and mixing lectures, hands-on work and presentations by participating scholars.
Coming up between May and November, there are seven courses already scheduled, including a summer school on Career Trajectories, Outputs and Success of Doctorate Holders, a course looking at Using the CorTexT-Risis Platform for Research in Science-Policy-Studies, and database specific workshops on JoREP, EUPro and patent databases.
For more details, see the Training page, where you can find the leaflets for all of our upcoming workshops, and details of previous events.
The courses are free of charge – costs for attending are covered by the RISIS project.
