Applications of Panel Data Analysis: research on firm performance, entrepreneurial finance and innovation
This course focuses on the application of econometric techniques for panel data analysis and the interpretation of panel-data regression estimates. The course will introduce the properties of regression models in the context of panel data, including 'fixed' effect, 'random' effects, instrumental variables and generalized method of moments (GMM) estimation methods.

The aim of the course is that researchers firstly become aware of the potential benefits of Linked Open data – using (science and innovation studies) field specific examples, secondly to provide knowledge and skills to formulate the relevant questions related to data integration, and thirdly to introduce methods and tools for data linking, and for exploring, analyzing and visualizing linked data, as embedded in the Semantically Mapping Science (SMS) platform.

Using the CorTexT-Risis Platform for Research in Science-Policy-Studies and Science-Technology-Studies
The objective of the course is to introduce participants to the uses of the RISIS.CorTexT platform, a research facility in S&T Studies proposed under the RISIS Infrastructure Project. Thanks to short lectures, demos, workshop and practical training participants should get enough skills to develop research work on various types of Data Base that trace science and innovation dynamics. Linked Data for Science and Innovation Studies: Using the SMS platform for enriching your research data
The aim of the course is to train researchers to use the SMS (Semantically Mapping Science) platform for integrating, enriching and retrieving data for a specific research project.
